Can I ignore a warning light if the car seems fine?
We strongly advise against it. Some faults that trigger warning lights can cause serious engine or transmission damage if left unaddressed, even if the car appears to drive normally.
Will a diagnostic tell you exactly what's wrong?
Diagnostics give us fault codes and live data that point to the faulty system or component. In most cases this is conclusive, but some faults require additional physical inspection to confirm the root cause.
Can you clear the warning light without fixing the fault?
We can clear codes, but the light will return if the underlying fault is not repaired. We always recommend addressing the root cause.
Do you carry out the repairs after diagnosis?
Yes — we're a full-service garage. If we diagnose a fault, we can carry out the repair on the same visit in most cases. The diagnostic fee is deducted from the repair cost.
How long does a diagnostic take?
A single system scan takes around 30 minutes. A full vehicle scan with written report takes approximately 1 hour.
